33rd Degree Scottish Rite Masonic Ribbon Enamel Gold Medal
This 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Masonic medal features a double headed eagle in the center of a star and atop a cross. The eagle is set atop a blue enameled shield and features the Scales of Justice and Master Mason emblem above. A blue enameled circle frames the center shield design and bears the phrase ORDO AB CHAO DEUS MEUMOUE JUS. The star is accented by the yellow gold letters set against black enameled triangles around it's perimeter. The arms of the cross have a rich, red enameled finish with yellow gold columns in the middle. Two swords cross behind the design, while a pointed hand extends from the top right. The back of the piece has a smooth polished finish and is engraved Fred William Morrison Coronated December 12th 1931 Los Angeles Bodies A.A.S.R. There is some light wear to the backside of this piece as seen in the photograph. The medal is attached to a cream ribbon. The ribbon is fully intact but has some discoloration and slight wear. A top bar is featured above the ribbon is embellished by scroll work. A middle bar is below and bears the number 33 within a sophisticated open cut design. The back of the top bar is stamped: M. JEMAN JEWELER 14K Total weight: 28.4 grams. Measurements: 118 mm long and 41 mm wide.
